Our Story...

Ope! Hey der! Welcome to Ope Yak Ranch, where we raise yaks and say Go Pack! 

Up Nort' in Wisconsin our Yaks are grass-fed from the finest frozen tundra, and drink from dah local bubbler. Does that make for some good meat, soft wool, and cheese? Oh You Betcha, dah best! Did Yah know Yak meat tastes juicer and is sweeter than beef, and that it is healthier? It’s lean, and both low in cholesterol and high in dem Omega 3s…just like dem Walleye! 

We are just starting out, starting small...looking to build up some capital to buy a couple-two-three yaks for the ranch right now, and hope to catch some more as dah time goes on. Nowadays ranches aren’t cheap, trust me on dat one! 

Dats where you come in. As we work on finding the right ranch and grow a herd, we could use your help. So get yah some gear (when we get it), follow and share us on Instagram, and tell us your ideas. Every little bit helps. 

Our goal is for the ranch to to be a part of serving the community, and that can only happen if our community helps to get us going and keep 'er movin'.

Who knows, maybe someday we’ll even issue some non-transferable Ope Yak owner’s stock for your kindness.
